Cleaning out The BeeHive Studio

Here is the schedule for the Studio Sales - the plan is to clean out my studio so I can rent the space (I'm going to grad school this fall). Lots of books, art supplies, Zentangle stuff, Gelli plates, displays, store supplies...

Zentangle for Kidz Book Signing Party

Today Wingdoodle hosted a book signing party for Sandy and her new book, Zentangle for Kidz. She gave a mini Zentangle class at 1pm. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed it. We had food which my daughter Kayla made and, as usual, it was good. The make-and- take was a pin you could tangle yourself. Wingdoodle was very crowded for about 2 hours during the party and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. There are more pictures on Facebook; check them out.

Zentangle for Kidz!

The "Zentangle® for Kidz" book has arrived at Wingdoodle! This new book, written and illustrated by Sandy Bartholomew allows kids to experience Zentangle® as adults would, but with a more simple approach to learning it. In this book you will be guided by the characters Alex and Lilah with easy step by step directions to make beautiful Zentangle® patterns. Tangling Kit for Black Paper

Everything you need for tangling on black paper - 15 6x6 Black Licorice cardstock, white Gelly Roll Pen, General's white charcoal pencil, General's white pastel pencil and white Prismacolor pencil. You can also purchase everything separately.

New Zentangle Supplies

Zentangle has come out with some new tiles in black and also in trading card size in black and the traditional cream. You can use the white gel pens, white prismacolor pencils and white charcoal penscils on the black trading cards and tiles. The 55 piece tiles now come in a nice natural color box, it makes it really easy to carry the tiles around with you and a nice place to keep the finished tiles.

Zentangle Central

Shelley and I use to joke that we should call Wingdoodle Zentangle Central. Wingdoodle carries everything Zentangle related. We have all the Zentangle books written thus far, Microns, journals, Sandy's small Zentangle Tins, tiles, ATC's and more.

If you aren't to sure what Zentangle is but want to learn more stop by the store. Everyone at Wingdoodle does Zentangle. You can also pick up Sandy's new class schedule.

We also sale Sandy's books Totally Tangled, Yoga for your Brain and Alphatangle books wholesale to CZT's and other stores. They can be purchased through Wingdoodle's wholesale Etsy store or you can order them directly from Wingdoodle.

Back in Stock

Sandy's Zentangle tin is back in stock. You can only get these from Sandy's Etsy site or from Wingdoodle. The kit includes 10 trading cards, 10 tiles, a 01 Micron black and a 01 red, 2 pencils, a pencil sharpener, a blend stub, mini pin, a sample trading card and it all comes in this nice little tin you can carry in your purse. It retails for $22.00 plus shipping and handling. You can also come by the store and purchase it and save the shipping and handling. We are fully stock with everything Zentangle.

Just a reminder that we are having a book signing party for Sandy's new book "Yoga for your Brain" Thursday March 17th from 5pm-7pm. Come by Wingdoodle and enjoy the company of other Zentangle enthusiast and meet the author. There will be food, tea from Republic of Tea, a cool make and take and of course get your book signed by Sandy. It will be a fun evening.

YOGA FOR YOUR BRAIN IS AT WINGDOODLE

Sandy's new Zentangle Book is in Wingdoodle. We are all really excited for her and the book is just wonderful. It is a Zentangle Workout just like the cover promises. It is jammed packed full of new patterns, ideas and art. We will be having a book signing in March but don't let that stop you from purchasing it now. You can bring it to the book signing with you to have Sandy sign it.

Along with the delivery of Sandy's YOGA FOR YOUR BRAIN we also got the new TIME TO T TANGLE WITH COLORS by Marie Browning, CLAY CLASSICS inspired by Zentangle by Julie Eakes and ZENTANGLE 4 from Suzanne McNeill of Design Orginals.

Our nick name around the store for Wingdoodle is Zentangle Central. We have just about anything you need to Zentangle and continue to get more. Stop by and pick up Sandy's new book and also a copy of the other new books to put in your Zentangle library.

Get Well Zentangles

Sandy had to have eye surgery today. It was a planned surgery and she is doing great. Kay thought it would be fun for her to get some eye shaped get well Zentangles. Zentangles always make you feel better. So if you want to do a Zentnagle for Sandy you can send it in care of Wingdoodle and we will make sure she gets them.

Everything Zentangle

I was checking in a large order of Microns today and I realized we carry just about everything to do with Zentangle. We have black single Microns in .005, .01, .05, .08, and graphic 1. We also have sepia .01 and brush. Then you get into the sets which we have in black, sepia and also sets of colored Microns in 6 or 8 sets. The colored Microns come in .005, .01, .05 and brush. We have 5 different size journals that are great for keeping track of your Zentangle ideas and are small enough to carry with you. We carry Sandy's books, and also the 3 Zentangle books from Design Original. Looking for the tiles to draw your Zentangles on we have those too plus Sandy's little Zentangle kit and trading cards. Shelley said one time we should call ourselves Zentangle Central. So if you are looking for anything to do with Zentangle check with us and we more then likely have it.

New Arrivals from Outlines

Today we received our order from Outlines Rubber Stamps. Outlines has come out with a witch's hat, pumpkin, BOO and Christmas tree that are perfect to Zentangle, paper piece or just color and cut. We also have their new birthday collage plus the cat and dog collage. There are sample cards up on facebook using the dog collage. I will be putting up more samples on facebook using some of the other new stamps soon.

Journals

Attractive and functional, these hand bound, sketch journals are covered in book cloth and are the perfect travel companion for artists. Each journal features 128 buff colored blank pages, a durable elastic closure, and a useful clear plastic pocket in the back. The heavyweight sheets are 130 gsm (normal drawing paper is 80 gsm) and acid free. They have a light, toothy surface that accepts pen-and-ink, pencil, markers, and light watercolor washes without buckling. Wingdoodle carries 5 different sizes in green, red, black, blue and linen. Great journals for doing Zentangles.

Zentangle Patterns Everywhere

This design was on the back of my son's TOOL t-shirt. Tool is his favorite band and he owns just about all their t-shirts. Anyway, I thought this particular design would make a cool Zentangle if someone can figure out how to draw it in steps. Any takers for this challenge? If you come up with something you can post it on our facebook page. We'd love to see it and know how you did it.

Zentangle Outline Flowers

I will not say this is a quick and easy project but the time and effort is worth the results. I used 5 of the new Outlines Rubber Stamps Petal Series. Stamp the flowers on white card stock with Ancient Page or whatever black you like to use. Stamp background on folded white card stock. Fill in flowers with whatever tangles you like with 01 micron. Dot with crystals, gems or glitter glue. Use mounting tape if you want dimensional flowers and mount to card in whatever arrangement you like. There are more samples on Facebook.
