I had a fun afternoon teaching Iris Folding. It is one of my favorite classes to teach mainly because of the beautiful papers we get to use. Today's class was another success and everyone made beautiful cards. The kimono is always my favorite. Everybody gets to pick out their own papers and no matter what they do the kimonos come out stunning. One of the ladies is taking her kimono to a printer and having cards made from it. Thank you ladies for coming to my class and letting me take pictures of your cards. I usually have 2 or 3 iris folding classes a year so if you couldn't make this one I will be doing more next year.

Iris Folding Class
I love teaching people how to do iris folding. I think mainly because of the beautiful papers you can work with and the combinations of patterns and colors. I wish I could decorate my house like I can put paper and patterns together but that's another story. Anyway, this is one of the cards we will be making in my iris folding class Sunday October 24th. I will also be doing a Christmas tree, kimono (suitable for framing) and if we have the time and energy a pumpkin. If you have not signed up for this class there is still some space available. I have a lot of prep work to do for this class so I would really like to know at least a week before class exactly how many people will be attending. Hope to see a bunch of new faces and old faces. This class is always fun and you even get to pick out some of your own papers for a couple of the projects. Come prepared to put colors and patterns together that you never thought would go together but come out beautifully in the finished project. Look on the class schedule for more information.

Iris Folding Class

It was a little intense at first but as everyone got the hang of the iris folding things loosened up. As usual Shelley gave me a hard time and didn't want to follow directions, (just kidding Shelley it's always fun having you in my classes.) Anyway, by the end of the class everyone was able to put together their own colors for their kimonos and as you can see from the pictures all the projects turned out beautiful. Thank you to all the ladies who came to the class. I love doing these kinds of classes.
