Happy Thanksgiving!

We will be closed on Thursday to enjoy the company of family, eat pie, and be incredibly grateful for the wonderful things that happened this year. Yes, there were some pretty bad things too... but I think we can manage one day of concentrating on the good stuff! ;-D

And that is our attitude at the store too. Wingdoodle may be closing, but we think of it as an opportunity to do something new, so we are actually quite excited! We'll be having lots of specials so you can get all those fantastic gifts for your family - and yourself - that you have had your eye on. Currently, everything in the store is 10% off (except Zentangle® items). There are other specials, but you have to come in to find out! New Store Hours (and secret stuff...shhh!)

Wingdoodle's new store hours will be: 

Thursday....11am to 8pm
Friday........11am to 5pm
Saturday....11am to 4pm
Sunday......12am to 3pm

Monday to Wednesday open by appointment. 
(Let us know when you will be driving through town, and we will do our best to be here for you.)

We will keep these hours until Christmas, then we will close the store for the rest of the winter while we regroup and figure out what comes next. We may reopen again in the Spring. Or not. Who knows?

The GOOD news for YOU is that we need to clear out as much stock as possible before the holidays. So there will be lots of sales and really great discounts coming up! The specials will get better and better as we get closer to closing, but we also will not be reordering. If there is something you have had your eye on for a while, don't wait too long to get it!

For now, everything in the store (except Zentangle® books and materials) is 10% off. This includes the books and magazines that are already discounted 40%.

Good bye From SherRee, Krystin and Adele

Tonight will be my last class at Wingdoodle and tomorrow will be my last day.  I can't express how sad I am at this turn of events.  I will truly miss all the friends I have made over the last 3 years working here.   Adele's last day was today and Krystin's was yesterday.  Kay will be handling the store alone now.

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.    Good bye and thank you to one and all who brought such joy to Adele, Krystin and myself.   See you on facebook.

Demo Table Fun

Wingdoodle is a hands on creativity store and our demo table is the heart of the stamping/art section. We show you how to use just about anything we sell. You just have to ask and if we know how we will gladly show you. If we don't we will try and find out for you. Last Saturday Melissa stopped by and we played with the new Distress Inks for winter and she created this beautiful Christmas tag.

New Smash Books

 

Come into Wingdoodle and check out all the new SMASH book stuff.  Label all your moment with the new SMASH captions and put them in the new Eco, Simple Orange or mini Smash books.  The new mini SMASH is so cute and is small enough to carry in your bag.  Write on SMASH Stickies and add personality with 7 different design stickers.  You can also now save the date with all of your favorite goodies in your handy new folder SMASH Pocket. Ready for Fall

I know it is still summer but if you want to get a jump on making Halloween, Fall or Thanksgiving projects Wingdoodle is ready to help. New Class Schedule

OOTS Rocks Warner

There is a small group in Warner, NH called Out of the Studio, OOTS for short. We meet upstairs at Wingdoodle once a month. At our last meeting we decided it would be fun to do art on rocks and place them around town for people to pick up and take home, Random Acts of Art.

There are tags on the rocks saying pick me up and take me home. On the bottom it says Random Acts of Art for you. We all did something different on our rocks. Everything from Zentangle, calligraphy, collage, photography and some sparkle.

Do not be shy if you find a rock - please take it home with you. If you would like to let us know at Wingdoodle that you found a rock, we'd love to know. Look on Wingdoodle's facebook page, there are lots of pictures and they might even give you a hint on where to find the rocks. Have fun looking for all these neat little packages of art.

Simonds 2nd Grade

On Monday June 13th Mrs. Stanley's 2nd grade took a tour of the different businesses in Warner, NH.  Today Wingdoodle received a very nice thank you note from Mrs. Stanley and the 2nd grade class. It was a pleasure having you in our store, come back and see us anytime.  Have a great summer.

Kayla's Smash Book

I showed my daughter Kayla the video of the Smash books and asked her what she thought. She immediately told me she wanted one. Of course I had to buy it for her.

This afternoon she came by Wingdoodle with a bag of stuff and her Smash book. For about 3 hours she went through her stuff, cutting and gluing. The pages above are what she did today.

She looked so happy and had fun remembering things as she went through her mementos. This would be a great ongoing project for the summer and a really great gift for someone going off to college in September.

Closed Monday 4th of July

Wingdoodle will be closed Monday July 4th in honor of Independence Day.  Have a great and safe 4th and enjoy all the fire works.

Week Two Anniversary Special

Wingdoodle is proud to announce the expansion of our brick and mortar store into cyber space.. You can order from the comfort of your home or just check out what we have in the store before you come shopping. We are opening with a limited inventory but will be expanding it daily.  Eventually we hope to have the store set up so that you can order online and pick it up at the store. Memorial Day

Monday May 30th Wingdoodle will be closed for Memorial Day.  We would like to thank all the men and women who have served and are now serving this great country, especially my daughter Kayla, son Nicholas, my niece Heather's boyfriend Adam and Nick's friend Matt. These are only the ones I know by name but there are many others from the state of New Hampshire and from Kearsarge Regional High School.  I am so proud of them and this country. Thank you also for all the cards that people have made and donated to Operation Write Home.

Happy Easter from all of us at Wingdoodle - Kay, Sandy, Adele, SherRee. Jen and Krystin.  Wingdoodle is closed Easter Sunday.We will see you again on Monday.  Enjoy your time looking for Easter Eggs and dinner with your families.

Make and Take

This cute Easter egg topper  is our make and take this weekend. We will be using Outlines Rubberstamp Posies and Sakura Stardust pens to color.  You can also use the new Pearl Pens to add a little extra touch.

Make and Take

 We will be doing this Easter lily card stamped on glossy black paper with VersaMark Dazzle and brushed with Perfect Pearls for our make and take this weekend. This is a fun and easy technique and adds shimmer and shine to any card, especially done on the black glossy paper.  I had a problem capturing the shimmer and shine in the picture so you will have to come and do the make and take.

I am also running a class Saturday everything Perfect Pearls.  This make and take Saturday is just a very small sample of the versatility of Perfects Pearl.  I have 4 openings so if you are interested in exploring Perfect Pearls farther call or email Wingdoodle.

YAY! NEW STUFF

After inventory is finish the fun begins.  We start ordering new stuff for the store and this week the new stuff is starting to come into Wingdoodle.  So far we have received new stamps from Impression Obsession, House Mouse from Stampabilities and today we received our order from Hero Art.

New games, puzzles and toys are also starting to arrive.  Today we received our order from eeBoo.  I was checking in the puzzles and games for younger children thinking about when my kids were young, how cool some of the stuff would have been for them.  eeBoo has great learning games and puzzles starting from age 3+.

Wingdoodle is also eagerly awaiting the arrive of Sandy's new book Yoga for the Brain.  Continue to watch the blog for information.  I will post it as soon as we get it into stock.  Wingdoodle is planning a book signing party for March and as soon as the plans are finalized that information will be posted.

Don't forget about the Valentine Day activities that will be going on this weekend.  There are a lot of activities planned all over town and there will also be a scavenger hunt.  Wingdoodle will be doing a fun foam Valentine's card with the kids.
