6x6 Show

Friday night Kay, Shelley, Sandy and myself all had a night on the town. It started at The Paper Tree in Manchester, NH with the opening reception for the 6x6 Holiday Exhibition. We had such a good time that Shelley decided to wear a coffee table center piece on her head, good thing she hadn't had anything to drink or no telling what else she would of decided to put on her head.

This is the 9th year that the New Hampshire Chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art has held this show. It is a wonderful display of small works, all with the dimensions of six inches by six inches and a price tag of just sixty-six dollars. All the works are different and unique. We know some of the artist from the store and we could pretty much pick out which works were theirs. Everyone had their favorites and I don't believe any one of our favorites were the same 6x6. It just shows how diverse our tastes run and how diverse the art.

The exhibit is being held till January 11, 2010 at The Paper Tree, Mallard Pond Plaza, 865 Second Street, Manchester, NH. Monday-Friday: 10am-5:30pm, Saturday: 10am-4pm.

If you haven't been by to see the exhibit you should do so and also go shopping in Michelle's store. She carries the best selection of ribbon I have ever seen and everything is displayed in unique ways. Ribbons in canning jars, buttons in martini glasses, brad and different little embellishments in printers letter boxes. She has stamps scattered through out the store and some beautiful scrapbooking papers. She has lots of samples of cards and scrapbook pages displayed around the store which always help to inspire.

After the exhibit we ended our evening on the town with dinner at UnWined which is in the same plaza as The Paper Tree. It is a great place to kick back and unwind after a busy day and have a leisurely dinner and a couple of glasses of good wine. I am really starting to enjoy our road trips, can't wait for the next one.
