Valentine Treat Bag

These treat bags are easy and fun to make, a great project to do with your children.

Supplies
1-81/2"x11" sheet of cardstock
1-colored cardstock cut 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"
1-white cardstock cut 1 5/8" x 3 1/2"
1-1/2" piece of ribbon
glue stick
doublesided tape
large heart punch
red and black dye ink pad
Valentine stamps

There is no need to cut paper unless you want your bag shorter.
Score the 8 1/2" side every two inches and fold-you will have a 1/2" fold left
Score the bottom 2" and fold
Cut slits in the folds on the sides up to the fold line on the bottom
Stamp whatever image you want on the white paper-you can also stamp the bag at this time if you wish
Using a glue stick or doublesided tape - tape the layering papers together
Fold your bag into a box shape and glue the 1/2" piece to the inside of the bag
Alternate folding the bottom flaps and glue
Crease the sides and using a hole punch - punch a half circle on both sides of the bag (the half circle should be punched through all 4 layers) or fold over a small portion of the top and punch one hole or punch two hole evenly spaced
Punch out heart and glue it to layered piece
Tape layered piece to front of bag
Fill with candy and close with ribbon

Have fun!
