I will be doing a series of five classes called Paper Transformed. I bought a really cool book by Julia Andrus called by the name and thought it would make a good title for the classes I will be running. In the class we will be using a lot of different Ranger products like alcohol inks, Distress inks, embossing powders, acrylic paints, crackle paints, gesso, Perfect Pearls and watercolors. We will also be using the Sizzix Vagabond to create beautiful butterflies and other shapes that you can use with these projects. These are technique classes where you will learn to use all these different medias to create beautiful backgrounds that can be used in any project that you desire from cardmaking to wall art. In the last class we will be using a lot of the techniques that you have learned to create a piece of wall art that will be a wonderful addition to your home. The project will be one you have designed and you will bring your own supplies. I will just be there to help.
Sometimes in classes you get so much information at once that when you go home you look at the project and go "now how did I do this?" When you leave these classes you will have 4 or 5 finished tags from each class on which you can write the recipe for how you achieved that particular effect.
For the first in this series of classes we will explore and play with alcohol inks and create different backgrounds on different types of paper. We will also learn to create different looks with how the inks are applied. The next 3 classes will cover everything from Distress reinkers to acrylic daubers. The 5th class will be the open studio.
